Hi,
I'm looking to upgrade the shitty RipSpeed head unit I was lumbered with when I bought my car a few days ago...
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/RIPSPEED-DVD- ... 500wt_1203
This isn't mine, but just an example!
I'm gonna get a pioneer head unit which has all the buttons in red (matching I know), but I thought, if I wanna upgrade my stereo system, might as well do it properly!
Anyone know what size the front and back speakers are in a E30 325 as standard!
Also, feel free to give me advice on what you've done to yours... I'm looking for examples where the car hasn't been butchered to fit the speakers... Also whether upgrading the wires are worth it!
Thanks!!
Sound system

There's a whole section of the Zone dedicated to I.C.E; have a look through and you'll get some idea of how far some people go with their audio systems.
One basic concept is that the location of the front speakers is pretty poor, and the hole for them pretty small (original speakers are 13cm), which can be a limiting factor if you want high quality sounds. But have a search, there's a wealth of information here as well as in the Wiki.

5 1/4 inch for the front speakers.
Not sure about the back as mine came with aftermarket ones.
I'm in the middle of fitting sound system in mine.
Rewired with oxygen free copper wiring. Period headunit & amp.
Focal speakers for front speakers then the Premium hi-pack speakers for rear shelf

The Internet - It has proven to be worthless, and is nothing but a repository for perverts.

Cool thanks - Again, sorry for posting in the wrong section! I'm fairly new to this, but thanks for the direction!
