anyone know how to do this on a pre facelift 325, the diagram from rs auto online is less wires and totally different colour to mine, not bothered about reverse lights but it wont start?

Hi, get in the glove box, access all the wiring at the back, find the yellow/black wire, from memory there will be 2 ends to it one coming from the steering column, and one heading towards the fusebox, you need to unplug them from the black wires that they are plugged into and then join them together. The black wire goes to the start inhibitor circuit, by doing the above you will delete it.

Do a search, someone has pics of it on here.
