Its for the sealing strip/locking bead, I did have one saved in my ebay items but its been auto deleted a long time ago now. There are quite a few variations, some are really shite, some are ok, but the proper one is perfect and goes round the rubber like butter

A small screwdriver used from the glass side will ease the locking strip in,use some soft soap(get your 'er indoors to chat up a tyre fitter)as a lubricant.
Do check that the 'screen is central before attempting to fit the locking strip.

I'll see how I get on tomorrow and maybe buy the tool you suggested in the week.
Got the remainder of the windows to fit as many other jobs to keep me busy, just getting fed up of throwing a cover over it every time there's a shower. Fecking weather.
