Sorry if I am asking a daft question.... go easy... I'm just a girl :-)

The exhaust has gone on my 4dr its blowing on the front pipe, and the back box is so bad now I sound like a tractor...

Money isn't something Ive got a lot of, but I do have a 1987 E plate 2dr e30 with a perfectly good exhast on it... is it a straight swap?

The E plate seems to be a hybrid of pre and post facelift!

Yes will be a straight swop. Only major differences in exhausts over the years were whether they were two or three piece set ups. However, either full system will fit your car.

Iain is right... providing the 2 cars have the same engine. (if the good car is a 2.5 and the good exhaust is from a 318, then its not gonna work. ) lol.

extreem i know, but u get the idea.

they will fit as i have done it with no problems
just have to mess with the rear brackets which come off anyways.

only prob ive got with mine though is the early back box doesnt come out in the gap in the tech 2 rear bumper right but on a normal bumper car that wont be a problem

I expect you're right in this case, but just for anyone who's looked this up & is in a similar situation; it's not *always* the case!

I've got an exhaust from a 325i, that won't fit my 325i. See here for details! http://www.e30zone.co.uk/modules.php?na ... ic&t=22254
