I am currently running a 2peice and replacing it with a 3 peice

Are the fixture and fittings same
89 tech 2 sport

320i systems have a smaller diameter IIRC.

Apparently only the exit pipes have a small diameter and both
systems have 45mm all the way through

320i has 45mm and 325i has 60mm exit pipes which is purely for looks
