Hi I have just bought a 1987 e30 316 carb model convertible conversion. I have been looking at the Baur conversions on the web to try and find out what mine is, I think mine might be a conversion by another manufacturer. Looking at the Baur conversions they semed to have a hard top type roof and a fold back soft top convertible section where as mine is all soft top held on by press studs. Did any other companies offer convertible conversions for the e30?, this is not a DIY job but looks factory. I am new to the e30 so any help would be appreciated.

i only know of baurs and the `normal` bmw convertible.
