Hopefully a simple question! My car was originally a 318i, M40. I want to replace the fuel lines as they are corroded at the front end. I expected to see two lines, a supply line and a return line but there are 3, running from the fuel filter to the engine bay. What is the third?

Yup, I binned mine and left the breather exit at the tank.
