What harm will I do not putting the blates/brackets on the subframe? The shell is going for paint on sat and i need it rolling but can't find the plates
While it's of for paint I hope to find them or get some from a breaker.

I'd argue that you're asking for quite a bit of trouble by not fitting them. There's very little metal at the top of the subframe bolt, and you're asking for all of that to carry the rear beam, diff and trailing arms.
It might be alright for pushing a car in and out of a garage, but I wouldn't start the engine without those plates. But that's just me being cautious.

I feel the same about driving it without them and asking for trouble. I've nothing on the shell other than the doors etc and enough to get it rolling. I've found one which I'll put on, the other might turn up while cleaning up next week.

Take the brackets and nuts off with the wheels on the ground, and the rear beam will force down and partly off of the bolts.
If you put the nuts back on, this will stop the whole bush being forced down, but if the bushes are past their best, the rubber may force down over the alloy centre.

Brian, I'm fitting all to a bare shell thats going for paint soon, all parts going back on are new, just missing one bracket and wondering is it ok to transport and move it around without a bracket?

I would only push them back and forward without the brackets, wouldnt want to put too much strain on that stud mounting
