Intermitant Wipers Help Needed

The wipers on my car work fine on fast and really fast

but the once every so often wip doesent work, and when i use the washers the blades stop as soon as i let go of the wiper stalk, they dont return to the bottom of the screen

Hope that makes sense.

What could be the problem

I have an e28 parts car if the bits are interchangable?

check the wiki, if has a good article on this problem, odds are the disk on you motor is baldly scored like mine and the culprit. changing it is straightforward. if you need a used one put an advert in the wanted section.
