Hi all,

I'm trying to solve my brake warning light that is staying on. First investigation and I find no front brake pad wear indicator fitted. I now have one to fit, but can't figure out how it fits in/on the caliper. is there a photo or instruction on the site that could help guide me? Car is a 89 320i cabby with vented front disks.

Many thanks for any guidance.

The pad wear sensor actually fits into a slot in the pad. The idea being that it wears down with the pad until the wire inside breaks.

If it ain't broke..

When you've fitted the sensor, make sure that you route the wires correctly, so that they don't touch the inside of the rim when the wheel is refitted, otherwise the light will be back on in a couple of days.
