Hi guys,

A few weeks back me and my dad took our 325i to Mallory park for a track day. Started off with a full tank and the car was driving spot on. After a couple of hours driving the fuel level dropped to just under the quarter full level, and then the problem started.

On one certain corner (A fast short right hander done at around 70mph, followed by an immediate left hander...) the car would stutter at exactly the same point on the corner (just as you flick it into the left hander) on every lap, as if it was being starved of fuel for a split second. If you kept your foot on the accelerator the power would come back fine after literally 1 second.

So we figured it was the fuel sloshing from side to side in the tank and air was getting dragged up by the lift pump. However, we pulled into the pits and put 25L of fuel in, went back out and it still did it for the rest of the day?!

Anybody have any ideas what this could be? Im guessing fuel related, although i guess it could be electrical. Other than that though the car drives faultless and the problem never occurs in normal road driving now...

Cheers, Dan.

Check the pipe comming off pump o/s of the tank (access under the rear seat) May be split then lack of pressure being held in the tank.
