325 middle box exhaust help

Hola, the middlebox on my m20 had a large hole blown in it on the weekend during a rally. I have a spare system which has two pipes the length of the car going into a large scorpion rear box. The pipes do not meet (no x piece) is this going to be an issue? The car is used for competion
