Hard to start when warm immediately after you stop it, or after it's been left for half an hour or so?
What engine management? (Age of engine.)

When the engine is hot, stop the engine by pulling out the fuel pump fuse, #11. Turn off the ignition and replace the fuse, then try to start it half an hour later.
There will be a small delay before it starts, at best, because the fuel rail will initially have zero pressure, but, allowing for that, see if it starts better.

Have you checked the blue temperature sensor? It should read about 3300 ohms cold, dropping to around 600 ohms hot.

Have you TESTED the blue temp sender, to make sure the wiring is working?

Have you tried cleaning out the throttle position switch (TPS), and setting it correctly?
They often fill up with oil, and it prevents proper operation.
In fact, this should be included in the Zone Wiki.

Ideally, you need to connect up a fuel pressure gauge to see what's happening. If that will be difficult, and the injectors are many 1000's of miles old, you could invest £60 in getting them rebuilt.

Have completely replaced with new the old injectors, runs a lot better , like lightning, but still has the same starting problem. Could the metering unit screw need adjusting , how is this done, and will it help . Any thoughts guys
