Hey up,

I'm getting a slight whiff of fuel inside the cabin. Things I've checked are;

Fuel pump seal - ok no smell
Replaced fuel hose in engine bay. - ok
Checked breather hose on filler neck, seems good.
Fuel cap isn't leaking. - ok

It's also strongest when I have the roof down. Any ideas?

Fuel hose to the filter (assuming your filter is located in front of the passenger side rear wheel area)?

I did have a look at that and the hose is good, also when I open the bonnet there is no fuel smell. There is no smell when I put the blower on.

The smell isn't like raw fuel, more like a rich exhuast smell on a cold start.

You might want to try your fuel pressure regulator 'o' ring: replaced mine recently and it seems to have significantly reduced 'fuel smells'. No guarantees, but for the sake of a couple of quid it's probably worth a go...

Looking at fuel pipes isn't usually good enough.

I had a whiffy car for ages until one day I decided to run my fingers across the length of every fuel hose I could find.

Eventually I got that cold wet feeling on the tip of a finger from a hose joint. There was just a drip forming underneath where I could never have seen it. A quick trim of the hose, new clip et voila. No fuel smell in the cabin anymore !!!

Ok so figured out what it was, the jubilee clip that holds the fuel hose to the fuel rail had loosened off. Strange!

I also have another slight fuel smell from under the car, around the tank. I looked under and the tank has some standing on it too where the filler neck is attached too. I think this needs cleaning up and a new jublilee clip as the filler neck seems fine.

Not as strange as you'd think. That's where mine was dripping from !

Well its got a new clip on it, all good.!

Just need to address the seeping / staining on the fuel tank where the filler neck connects. Anyone had this before?

I have only had it from the breather pipe, changing that and the clips sorted it out.
