Once I get the engine sorted on the car the next thing Im going to tackle is the suspension. At the minute its fine up to about 70-80 but anything over that and the car is a little vague and over 100 get scary as the steering feels like it has no control on the wheels. My last few cars did 140+ and still felt fine.

Im going to put on new track rod ends etc but in the E30 is it a case of changing the whole wishbone in order to get new bushes or can you just cut out the old bushes and slide in new ones?

An H&R Cup kit could be purchased as well. :)

Moving this to tech help.
New wishbones don't come with the bushes anyway.
Yes, you can cut off the old bushes and slide new ones on. M3 ones fit, and are a usefull upgrade.
Make sure the ball joints are all good, because, once fitted, the bushes can't be taken off and reused.

Oky doky. Wasnt sure if it would fall under a general discussion or a techy question. :)

How much are the M3 bushes from the dealers and will they fit straight into the Sport fittings? Was tempted by poly bushes but not sure if theyre worth it.

Only change your wishbones if the ball joints have play in them. Otherwise your wasting your money.

Fit the Powerflex Eccentric bushes and you'll be amazed at the difference in steering feel and braking.

Also check all of your ARB bushes and drop links.
