Just wondering what a good braking force kgf figure is on a standard 325i set up.

I had my car mot'd last week and the fronts averaged 225 kgf and rears averaged 160 kgf, the figures seem low compared to my daily drive Astra which come out at 300 plus for the fronts and 230 for the rears, I appreciate newer cars should produce better figs.

My brakes do need plenty of force to get them bitting, I might need to adjust the travel bar.

I have this same gripe with my 325i cab.! What do you plan to do? How is the travel bar adjusted?

Adjusting the bar between the pedal and the servo wont increase breaking force.

You cant compare a modern braking system to one designed back in the late '80's.

Maybe your servo or vacum system has a leak.

Then I think you are after more servo assist, more modern cars have way more assist than older ones. Drive anything French, can turn the steering with a little pinky and extra layers of dust can depress the clutch!

Yeah, new cars will need less force, I was more asking what other results people are getting when mot'd.
