bmw e30 325i wont idle on cold start

well if any one has any ideas it wont idle on cold start soon as it gets off the blue on the temp gauge its fine but when its warmed up and sitting at half way on the gauge its makes a sucking noise then shuts off and has trouble starting then does the same suck and shuts off the engine has bin cammed and a chipped ecu iv bin told its the air fuel minture and the exhaust stinks of petrol any ideas would be grateful thanks adam

cheers mate iv already looked at all them and checked it out on the car and no luck yet

Hmmm. If the car won't idle and the exhaust stinks of fuel, I'd put money on it being the Blue Temp sensor which is the first thing mentioned in that wiki link. When you "checked it out", what did you do?

iv checked it with a meter but i dont quit understand how to test it if im onest
