I've had a noise from the front offside for the last few months which is getting slowly worse let alone annoying

It only happens when the car is moving and turning to the left just like a failing wheel bearing can, except instead of the rumbling sound its a repetitive squeaking noise.

Any ideas would be appreciated before I go to the expense of a
new bearing and find it isn't in fact the cause.

Many thanks

Not the heat shield either,

If you spin the wheel you can only really hear the pad/disc noise unlike the bucket of bolts I had on the nearside.

not sure what year your car is but I know it will be 20+ years old,

a set of new rear wheel bearings won't do any harm or break the bank :D

Mot'd 3 weeks ago so no bits loose just slight play in front ball joints

I can't see it being the ball joint though as its such a regular sound

hence me confused :? :?

Thanks for the input :)

I don't know about me know but line the kids up in a car park then drive past them several times you soon find out where it coming from.

Shame they can't tell whats making the noise :D
