Really daft question perhaps, and I am guessing that the blue one is the coolant temp sensor and the brown one is just for the gauge?
But could someone please confirm the correct name for them?
(for a facelift 325i if it makes a difference)
Blue Bosch Number: 0 280130 026
Brown VDO Number 801/401/1
Correct names for the blue and brown sensors please?

I know what I call them, I have one of each to sell, but wanted the exact name that would be listed in a parts catalogue for example.
Partly to help people find them, but also to avoid being stung yet again by someone misunderstanding what a part was for.

Brown is listed by BMW as "Remote thermometre sending unit"
Blue is listed by BMW as "Temperature sensor"
