Hi hope your all well, i need your help asap
i have a e30 m3 when i bought the car it had 17" alloys on it when i went over 60mph with these alloys on the steering shook slightly so i had all the wheels balanced and even swoped the front to backs and still the problem persisted,
i then put the original 15" bbs wheels back on and this cured the problem i then ordered a new set of 17" alloys and tyres thinking there must be a problem with the other 17" they arrived today i had them balanced and put on and the problem reapeared i have the correct offset and spiggot rings for the car, i am now thinking that due to the increase in size from 15" to 17" this is putting pressure on the bushes etc
please can someone help i am going insane could it be track rods or lower arm bushes.
thanks in advance
steering shaking, help please!!

Welcome to the site mate,
There currently is a tread with full details about the sizes of the tyres, with the title 15" vs 17" or similar in which we discussed the differences between the sizes in tyres and how they affect the handling of our E30s.
In this thread it was more or less said that even though 17s look good 15s had a better communication between the road and the car, and this would be near to what are you experiencing.
someone with more experience I am sure will tell you why is that happening to your car, including the 'trimlining' effect, which is more noticeable with 17s
