Hello Zoners, its been a while! :D

I've got a little question for you all that's got me a little stumped :?

In the engine/fuel pump relay housing I have an extra relay and was just wondering if anyone knew what it was. I've obviously done some searching on here and google and all I could find was that the US models had an extra relay for the lambda sensor heater and that some (cant quite figure out which though) motors had a relay for the tank vent. I don't think I have such a system as I have none of the other related system, ie the extra pipes etc and canister in the engine bay.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Sorry in advance if I'm being thick on this :o:

The tank vent doesn't use a relay. The valve is driven directly by the ECU.
The third relay position is for the heater of a lambda sensor, and if you don't have one of these, it's been fitted in error, assuming the wiring is standard.
It feeds a four pin round socket, clipped to the underside of the battery tray, and if this socket is just fitted with a blanking cap, you do not have a lambda sensor.

It deffo doesn't have a lambda sensor, but I'll have to check for the plug.
Bonus if its there, it can power my wideband! Result!

Ta for the quick reply, means my sat nights just got a little less boring :thumb:
