I've currently got a large cut off switch hanging out of my centre console and I'm wondering if that is the norm of if there are also smaller (single size) switches for this job???

I also seem to have a second small switch hole in my centre console, so I'm just wondering what other switches came in that size and what else they could be used for???

To be honest, I'm never gonna use this cutoff switch, so am tempted to adjust the wiring so it is deleted altogether from the interior!! Would that be a bad idea for any reason???

The cutoff switch is a safety item. If something (Like a child's neck) gets stuck in the window, it will trip and cut power to them. I wouldn't remove it personally.
Kind regards

I had forgotton that bit of it, to be fair!!!
However, if a kids head gets stuck in my window, it means they can have the kicking they deserve when I get back to my car!! Lol!! :D

So just the question - do they do a small button, or just the big one???
What else uses the single size buttons???

IT'S NOT A SWITCH and shouldn't be used as one!!
Small switch is the isolator switch for the rear window switches on the rear door cards, NOT an isolator for the rear window motors, as usually gets stated.
You can extend the wiring to the isolator switch and move it up to one of the spare positions above the top of the radio/clock, where it was fitted on earlier models.
I can't think of any other 'single' sized switches.

Is this in a cabriolet?

If so you could get the correct console with the right cuouts.

Cheers Brian - may well extend it up to the dash out of the way then!!

Ben - nah, this is in the touring, but no idea where that console came from!! I will indeed be seeking a minty one when I'm ready to get all the interior back in properly!!!
