Drive shaft removal

, i need to remove the Drive shaft s from a 89 325 .
I ve undone the ring of allen bolts from diff side ok , but there are no bolts on the wheel side , how do you remove that side , do you have to remove wheel and remove the big nut in the centre of the hub ????? or , WHAT?
