Hi,

I'm looking to retro-fit an OBC to my 318 conv, but have seen the odd thread about coding plugs and am left slightly baffled.

I believe that the majority of OBCs come from 325s and SEs. Do you have to find an OBC that has come from your particular model, i.e. for me a 318? I thought that they were all interchangeble, is this not the case?

all the obc can be fitted to each car but the coding plug fitted in the back of the display does the maths to calculate your mpg etc so if its for a different engine the figures will be wrong but if your not bothered dont worry.
