It started when I dropped the m52 in my bay a little under a year ago now. I chopped the wrong bloody banjo off foolishly as the m52 power steering pump is different to that of the m20 + m50 in that the bottom is a port (chop end off) and jubilee pipe onto port and the other is from the rack (which the 19mm banjo end needed drilling out to receive 22mm banjo.
Anyway nearly a year down the road and having driven with no power steering I thought my arms have got big enough lol so I purchase a pas pipe (thanks to maggspower) and have it drilled out. Brilliant, I now have power steering but..........
Now when turning there is a knocking and a sort of umm, loose ish feel to the steering somehow. Rack is tight, steering linkage is tight and I've checked every bloody thing!
I think it may be my inner track arms as I cannot for the life of me locate this anoying issue. What's strange is that I could not feel or hear it before without power steering. Either that or it just wasn't there.
Anyone have any suggestions, as this has pickled my head slightly
