Quarter light window on cabriolet

Just got a new driver's side quarter light due to the old one being smashed. Can anyone please tell me if you need to move the window regulator to slip it in or whats the correct method to install it?

I have one of my cab doors in bits at the moment and to answer your question, inner door trim must be removed to get access, remove the regulator mechanism screws to allow you enough access to get the new quarter in with the rubber attached, its mounted in place from inside the door skin working upwards and held in place by a screw more or less in line with the vertical side of the quarter glass. The official BMW manual recommends lubrication to replace the unit, washing up liqiid works best with rubber.
