Having good compression of around 160lbs on all cylinders, wanted to refresh to head, ran fine on dyno and on track for half an hour, but used a sump full of oil, blowing blue smoke.
Don't think it can br the rings from previous compression test.
Anyone got any ideas ?

That normaly cause's blue smoke just after the engien is started, i cant see that much oil passing thru the seals in an hour, especially when there is no pressure behind it.....

It's A 320, the head was a low mileage 80k, had a skim and a new cam only.

defective crankcase ventilation will make the engine burn a lot of oil.
