Advice please

Hi guys,

Parked up the e30 this morning and found it leaking pink fluid over the floor coming from underneath the passenger side footwell near the corner with the wheel. Is this going to be power steering fluid? Any ideas what could be causing leak? I cant see any obvious leaks in the engine bay.

Stick your head under the front of the car and have a look at the power steering pump.

Check the reservoir bottom pipe, it may need a new jubilee clip

Most likely is that the rack boot has been filling up with fluid, which has been squirted out of the boot breather hole when the boot was compressed while doing a parking manoeuvre.
New rack time, as it's a MOT test fail.

Yes i was guessing it would be the steering rack. Anyone on the zone want to fit me a new one? Wouldnt have a clue how to do this myself. Would pay for the parts and labour of course.
