Don't bother.

No one pays any attention to car alarms.

There are plenty of ways to immobilise your car without having to butcher the wiring loom which most "professional" installers seem to enjoy doing :banghead:

No Clifford there poo. Auto watch or laserline. But even better is a hidden cutoff switch and a red flashing led.

Hi guys I have been told by many people that Clifford is a very reliable and efficient car alarm as long as installed professionally not these one minute wonder jobbies, also a must is the blue clifford led as well.

Good luck in choosing a car alarm

Are we talking about alarms or immobilisers? They are often packaged together, but are two entirely separate things.
As stated further up the thread, no one takes any notice of a car alarm. On a couple of occasions I have dealt with a sounding car alarm in a public place in broad daylight with people around, and no one has taken the slightest notice of my activity, other than the odd "will you shut that racket up" type look. The only type of alarm that may be of some use is one that contacts you by some means to inform you it has been triggered.
Every single immobiliser I've seen fitted to an E30, except the simple switch one I've described on here several times, has been so laughingly easy to override, that they just aren't worth fitting. A simple wire clipped between the battery + terminal and the coil + terminal deals with the majority of them, then operating the starter from the diagnostic socket if required.
