Under heating help please?

Hi there,

Just woundering if anyone could help me? My gut instinct tells me it's probably just the thermostat, but a few other things worry me as its a an engine conversion that I bought. Where is the thermostat located? Engine is an m52 and hopfully I can get some sort of reading off with a kettle and a multimeter?

A little more information,
Engine running never Gets hot enough always just off the blue, also very bad mpg, guessing engine is going to run rich to try to warm it up?
Could it be the clocks? Haven't taken my own temp reading. Is this likely?

Check blue temperature sensor too for cold running issues.
