Is there anything else i should do at the same time?
It seems GSF are the cheapest for the tank, but they don't list the fuel filler, is this a dealer only part???
Any advice welcome fellas.
I need a new fuel tank

Other things to do/check are the rear brake lines and the subframe bushes, although the latter can still be done with the prop and exhaust in place.
If GSF/Eurocarparts can't supply the filler pipe, then it is dealer only.
Don't make the mistake of thinking that GSF/Eurocarparts are always cheaper than the dealer on everything.

Brake lines and subframe bushes are new anyway.
You are right about the dealers not always being more expensive, i have experienced that before. I just hate going there, it is normally a very unpleasant experience!!!
These days i have an allergy to BMW dealers

Nothing to do more at the back end then.
Since you've got the prop part off, how about the gear linkage and the two gearbox rear oil seals?

Gear linkage is my fab new short shift and the gearbox oil has also been replaced so i guess it would have to be drained again to do the seals. I'll look into it.
