Thinking of upgrading to power steering in my F reg.
Its a 318i
Could anyone quickly run though what parts i'd need and the basics of fitting.

Getting the rack changed is the biggest faf. Once the rack bolts are undone you have to bend the 2 lower tabs down to get the rack out. In true Haynes style fitment is reverse of removal
When the rack is going back in it's a bit of a balancing act with the linkage and getting it all lined up.

I didn't have to bend my lower tabs when taking the rack out or when getting it in.
You can slide it in pretty easy from the side a‘€
