hi guys!! This is Aron from Hong Kong and currently i am using a 90' E30 325i A/T.
recently my bimmer has a kind of unstable idling. well, the rpm reading from the plug-in computer is quite normal but i can feel the engine is running with "high low tone".

i've checked the emission figure and the CO content is quite high when idling. but good with higher rpm.

tried to change the idling control valve and air flow meter which borrowed from the other E30 325i but still having such a problem.

spark plugs are ok with new spark plug wires and distributor.

any idea???

Thanks!

Have you tried adjusting the CO on the AFM? Also check your Idle control valve is clean and working correctly, fueling for a certain idle and then not allowing in the correct air will cause a high CO. You must remember the Auto models idle slightly lower than the Manual version.

Somebody has the exact opposite problem here
