Wiper Issues ,not the stuttering type

Hi all

Wondering if you can help, my wipers are intermittent and I am not sure if it's the relay or the stalk. They seem to have a min of their own and will come on when I have them activated, but sometimes they dont do anything. If I am driving along they will come on when they are set in the fast or intermittent position.

so in short , sometimes I have wipers and sometimes I dont, as we are heading into our rainy season this is a bit of a worry.

So bets are open on relay or stalk ???

First check is that the 'relay' (large rectangular one in the fusebox) is fully seated, and that nothing metallic, such as the leg of a spare fuse, has slid underneath it.

Took the relay out , nothing under it.

thing is the wipers sometime work when the stalk is not set to on.
