Hi all, Im in the middle of trying to fit a new rear view window into my E30 320i 1987.
I have managed to remove the glass from the spare car with out breaking the plastic trim and haave fitted the rubber and glass into the car that I use.

But,,,, :x

Does anyone have any tips on how to fit that nippy little plactic trim back into the rubber??

Its seems to be such a tight fit and im scared I will break it.

Cheers for any help in advance.
Dave.

The trade use a special fitting tool that looks like a wire bent into a diamond shape attached to a screwdriver handle.

No idea where to get one though, Snap-on ?

I had a new windscreen fitted last summer and it only took 20 minutes, about 2 minutes to refit the rubber strip.

Cheers,

Silicon grease again - Plumber's merchant's - used for assembling push fit waste and soil systems.
