I've just got a set of lowering springs from another zoner (Cheers Chu!), but I want to work out just what they are before I put em on...
They were on his cab, so they should be fine on mine, but it'd be easier to work out what shocks to use if I knew how low i was going. Tempted to just whack em on and see how it goes, but checking here first can't hurt!

On the front springs it says "JAMEX 7004 FRONT"
& on the rears, "BMW 1442 REAR"

Any ideas?
Anyone got any springs lying around that I could compare length to?

You can go with Bilstein shocks. The Sport ones that are on the zone shop.

Cheers, but they're just a cheap set to lose the 4x4 look 'til I fancy splashing out on a cup kit... Ԛ£200 worth of shocks kinda spoils that plan! I'll be going to the zone shop sooner or later with my Ԛ£350 (or whatever it is!) in hand though :thumb:

Anyone got any opinions on the effect of using low springs with standard shocks? I've heard conflicting stories from different people...

it can wear the shocks out quicker

maybe a little bouncy ride as the springs will be harder and not as controlled
