Hello.
Did anybody here succesfully instaleld MS into his m20 e30 ? I'm asking cos I have early euro 325i with motronic 1.0 ecu (no oxygen sensor, 35pi ecu plug, etc), which I can fidn any decent documentation for. most docs on the net are for US models with are somehat different (crank position sensor setup is different, no tooth wheel on the front of the engine).
I';m particulary wanting to source a pinout for this very model, and find out what is the crank position sensor configuration, and whether the ECU controls infector and coils directly or through relay(s).
Thanks in advance.

Mops
you're gonna need the 60-2 wheel from a M1.3 onwards car and the matching crank sensor, possibly the lower timing cover too, not all have provision for the later sensor mounting
you cannot use the early twin pulse gen setup, I can see no way of combining the speed and TCD ref sensors into one output for the MS to use
why MS2 BTW ?? better off starting out with MS1 running the MS1 codebase, at least til you get your head around it, works for me
assuming you dont want to solder anything yourself and plan to retain the dizzy I'd recommend using squirt and spark extra code and the V3.0 PCB, it has a VR conditioning circuit onboard and will support a single coil or EDIS setup without further modification
there is a thread on MSnS-E in the Forced induction section dude.

Thats some helpfull info. Is there any documentation on the m1.0crank position setup ? I see on hte pinout there are two tdc ref pins and two crank speed points. I'd reallly like to aviod converting it to the tooth wheel, as it would mean that it will be difficult to fit the stock ecu back together....ant wrote:Mops

I choose ms2 as it is a more capable/advanced platform. Features can be programmed into it.
What about injectors and coil... are these driven directly from the ECU or through relay(s)
Thanks.
