I've owned several BMs in my time, but delved into what I've thought is a classic e30 325i Spt! I want to start doing work on it, hence my post on here: I bought a very low mile good history near std one a cpl of months ago, but the ride is low on rude Borbets, which are great, just not std. I want to put the ride back and I've got refurbed original BBS ready.

The 'coil-overs' fitted are not adjustable it seems; I was expecting large rings around the base unit to scroll the height up or down, but the strut is fixed. I think its a good 2-3 inches lower. There is a thread at the top of the mount from the bonnet side - is this adjustment? I would like standard to 15mm lower ride height I think.

Please does anyone know whether its best to just re-fit OEM struts and springs, or does anyone know of a decent fully adustable set or a good value coilover set that is close to original ride height?

Advice on this popular topic would be helpful.

I can't quite make out form your post if the car has coilovers on it or not. If there is no adjustment it sounds like a standard strut with lowered springs. Anyway, standard struts (second hand perhaps) and M-tech springs from BMW will put it as you'd like it. The springs from BMW are fairly expensive.
