Er my boot dosn't lock

My non central locking car has a boot which doesn't lock.

Can put the key in but it doesn't turn.

Any ideas?

I don't seam to have the master (light) key does this make a difference?

Does it operate the glovebox? If not, then you don't have the master key, the master key will operate all locks, the key that is for leaving it garages etc will not have the plastic part, also the non master key will not operate the deadlock.

phew just got it to work, had spray some grease in it and it works fine now.
