I took out spark plugs and turned car over to see if any water was in pistons.

Tried to turn car off and still turning over. Only way to stop it was to disconnect the battery.

Now everytime i connect battery starter motor turns but not starting engine and electric are all wierd, i.e hazard lights start, clocks move by themselves, etc...

Any ideas?

I'd check all the batt connections again and go over the engine bay looking for a stray ground wire dude

somethings shorting out I'd say.

Take the big C101 engine loom plug and socket apart, (on the bulkhead, next to the fusebox), and see if that stops the starter motor sound.

What's the rest of the story? You don't get up on a Saturday morning and check your car doen't have water in the cylinders for no reason!

well reason for checking water in pistons is to check if head was ok.

Well managed to get the starter and most of the electrics working.........new battery but

the hazard lights come on after i have started the car and move about or when the car is turned off they come on again.

just a daft suggestion, but have you reset the alarm with the round peg thingy that should come with the system if it is a A610i or whatever?
