Dont know of a company which does it off the shelf but there is an ace company called Cylinder Head Engineering in Fareham who has a guy who really really knows his stuff and takes a head and works to your spec or can advise on spec. His work is top stuff and is hard to fault

So if you sourced a good head/new head and get him to do it ????

Modifying cylinder heads has a relative simple element (smoothing of casting marks etc, 3 angle seats etc) and also a knowledgeable area (port modifications for better power). Any Tom Dick or Harry can carry out "porting or polishing" but whether their heads are any good is never clear. Hence you really want to find someone who's recommended by someone else, or specialises in heads for the BMW or rallying etc.

Yes, you can buy heads off the shelf. I bought one for my 2.0 8v Vauxhall off the shelf for Ԛ£450. It was the top head from well regarded tuner Mr Bill Blydenstein.
