Hi zoners

I've got a k reg convertable 318i and was wondering
If it shared the same suspension set up as a 325i? I've read
Somewhere that they have the same diameter strut so was
If it was the same.

Any help would be appreciated

Cheers

Craig

Front springs are different between a 318 and a 325, because of the considerable extra weight of the 325 engine.

It's not quite so simple as that. There's no such thing as a "spring for a 325 saloon" from BMW, for example, as they fitted up to about a dozen different spec. springs depending on the intended market and the options on the car.
There's some cross model usage of front springs by BMW, but it tends to be something like a four pot with auto transmission and aircon uses the same springs as a non aircon manual 325.
A list of the free spring lengths and their rates would be useful on here, if anyone knows where to find one.
