welcome to the zone mate
i think you can replace the bulbs in the obc (on board computer)
but i think you have to solder them.

you see them on ebay from time to time
so might be a good place to look.

where abouts in dagenham are you based?

keep and eye in the meets section there is a meet at lakeside coming up

New OBC backlight from BMW is 20 quid odd. New bulbs to replace the old ones about 40p each. ( You need two, 5V each, and need to be soldered to the removeable lamp strip).
Been posted in detail many times - use the forum search button at the top of the thrad.

Hi hairyman.
Welcome to the zone - another local, I'm in Romford.
Just done my own OBC bulbs, but I got them off another guy on the zone. You can replace the light board for bout Ԛ£20, but you'd be mad - get hold of the bulbs and solder them on. I'll even do it for you if you get the bulbs!

BTw -if you're after a good garage, there's a specialist guy in Romford. I've only ever used him for advice as I do all my own stuff, but he's a nice genuine guy.
