Wonder if some body could help me out here.

Recently bought the below from a well respected member here.

Pre facelift to facelift headlight wiring conversion kit.

My problem is i can see no way it connects to my lights loom
below.

Is my loom different from the usual Pre facelift one, or am i missing something really obvious :?:
The kit was originally supplied with Smoked Hellas, i believe.
The lights i want to fit are Bosch Bulls eyes, which shouldn't
really have any relevance as the kit should plug into the original
wiring loom end. Btw, it's not the sale i'm questioning, it's my
loom. Simon, you have PM mate.

It looks to me like on pic 1, the far right hand connectors are the same as under the big black rubber dust covers? I would class the connectors as male on the headlight and from memory they look similar?

Might be wrong though.

What lights are you putting in, smileys?
How do you pronounce 'either'? I say 'either', but some say 'either'. Either is correct.

This is it fitted to the lights

it's not the lamp end that concerns me but the 3 male connector
bit, my loom end has a 3 female round connection.

Try exposing the back of the pre face headlights in the car and see what the pins look like mate, all may become clear?

Duke, this is a pic of my light loom end

Image

This is a pic of the New wiring fitted to the lights

Image

Now if you follow the wiring from the Yellow connector
at the bottom of the light on the left, also the wiring that runs into
the black sleeving at the top of the same light, you will see it
runs into a black plastic plug that has 3 brass spade ends.
You can see it clearer in the very first pic i posted on this thread.
Now even i can tell, those three spade ends are not going to fit
into the 3 round female holes on my original loom end.
As i say, the new wiring bit fits to the lights perfectly, but not to
my original connection. This can probably be over come by fitting 3 male pins to the end of the new wiring in place of the
spade ends, but i'm curious to know if my original wiring is the norm for a pre face lift.

I've got a load of bits n bobs at home, as soon as I get in I'll take a few pics and compare

8)

PS, Still have a look behind the black rubber grommits because I am sure the light units have spade type connectors on pre face, your 3 pin female plug hasn't involved you removing the black rubber dust caps off the back of the lights is what I am saying :)

It is like you have a mini wiring harness on your current loom, but honestly, check the back of the headlights in the car and take a pic lets see whats under the covers :)

The three pin plug shown looks like a standard H4 bulb connector, so its only going to plug in if you currently happen to have headlights which use a H4 bulb?

As promised photos below. Gooner I was right, it seems you have an extra connector/harness adapter already..... Don't know if that is normal?

Pre face headlights with spade connectors

Image

Do these look familiar :D Inside the rubber dust cover

Image

Headlamp loom without the connector you have.....

Hope that helps mate, I'd just connect your 3 pin back together and seems you'll be fine.
