AAArrrrhhh,horse shoe!!!!!!!!

Fixed my motor problems with making one of them plates.
But when i press the button to open the roof the horse shoe wont go up all the way.



The roof never worked since i`ve had the car so i dont know if its been messed with in any way.
Has any one got a pic of what the mechanism looks like when the shoe is up?
This is what mine looks like but i dont think its in the right position?

I knew i didnt look right,just wasnt sure how it was all supposed to go together.
Will have a dabble on monday,off to wales tomorrow.

A little update, i turned the arm the other way and it just did the cables the same only the other way round.
So i took it off all together just to see if the lid would open and it did and the hole roof closed nicely
But when the shoe opened it caught a little bit on the roof and wouldnt lift unless i pulled a little on the rear of the roof,so i adjusted the longer rod(one turn) to try and give it lift it a bit more.Like a knob i lengthend it instead of sortening it......Then this happened



So i`m proper pi**ed!!!!!!!!
A trip to Halliwell then If you can still get the end piece?

you can still buy the gold bit that screws onto the bar and bolts to the roof, not too pricey from what I remember but think it is a german order i.e. has to be shipped from there so will be a few days wait.
