Hiya, is it possible to remove the front inner and outer balljoints on my 318i. I'm told that i need a press but is there another way using a vice or g clamps, or can i heat the control arm up to remove them?
Thanks :D

Given that ECP/GSF sell complete wishbones for about £50 a side,I do not attempt to swap balljoints myself.

A press is certainly required, perhaps your local garage may be prepared to help in exchange for a beer token or two if you are determined to save a pound or two?
