Have recently had a problem of when going to start my car i get nothing after the ignition, im guessing this is due to the immobiliser.

About a week ago the alarm kept beepin while starting then would stop.

The alarm is maddde by LCB parn no, r2000 and think its best just to remove it as its got hot at some point and the casing is melted.

Hows the best way to do this?

Cheers

Carefully trace each wire from the alarm to it's joining point with the car's original loom.Look in particular for wiring that has been 'looped' through the alarm.Re-join these wires, using a soldered joint and heatshrink tubing.

thanks for reply, think iv done it now, was behind the glove box and was spliced, but it had its own connectors so just unpluged it and then just linked one wire back together that was unpluged and all seems good, guess time will tell if it was this, but am sure it was.

no dont think so, think it was black, or black with a stripe, has a small plug on it anyway and was just linked into there.

Green runs from ign switch to the coil, has a socket in it for alarm instalation, with a plug with a loop of wire as standard. If you are very lucky, the 'green loop' is taped up to the loom....I have yet to be that lucky!

But the point is,with the green wire incomplete, your next question will be,'why does my car not start?'

Black/yellow is the starter signal, this is interupted in this area on automatics, with a sub-loom that starts/finishes with a plain black. This sub-loom goes to the gear selector, and to a relay close to the dash connector/accessories socket.
