How is the power feed to the steering wheel for the horn?
I have just swapped a tech 1 for a tech 2 and the horn isnt working on the tech 2.

I have tried just putting the 2 wires together but still nothing .

Anyone any ideas as i'm confused.

i had a similar sounding problem when i changed from a standard wheel to a tech 2
mine was not earthing properly normally but was working when pushing on the wheel and depressing the horn at the same time
the power is fed by the contact on the column that rubs against the slip ring on the wheel
so i replaced the contact and the metal slip ring but still no different
i fitted a washer in behind the wheel and it solved the issue because it wasnt earthing properly through the shaft because the spacing wasnt brilliant
its important too makesure with the washer in that the wheel still fits the taper nicely
but thats what sorted mine out

I had a problem with my tech 2 wheel as well!

The horn would sound randomly, usually at the most un-wanted times...and the steering felt dead, little self centring and 'lifeless'.

I fitted an extra washer under the wheel and all problems ceased!
