Scorpion issue

I received my new scorpion 3 piece system for my 325 this morning. looks like a well made item, however, i can't figure out how i'm supposed to join the downpipes to the centre section.

Not sure if there's some parts missing or i'm supposed to buy an extra piece or some kind of olive/gasket.

any ideas ?

Looks like you need 23 and 24 off here, same as the standard system: http://bmwfans.info/parts/catalog/E30/T ... _catalyst/
Check the sizes are correct.

you think they would be kind enough to supply, been waiting 3 weeks for this now,
and my local dealership will not have those parts in stock, so it'll probably be another bloody week till i can get my car back on the road !

What happened to the ones on the old system?

I think my old system is different, it has similar flanges, but behind the centre box. I'll get the car on the ramp tomorrow and see whats what.

I've just been getting fed up of exhaust problems, i've been bodging the old system back together for over two years now, so decided to bite the bullet and buy a fresh system.

I got new manifold, new manifold studs and nuts, new rubber hangers, new manifold gaskets. I suppose i just thought that for the best part of 500 quid all the bits i needed would be supplied.

Ah well, probably only a couple of quid for the other bits !

Sorry as this is an old post - I have this problem as well and wanted to ask if parts 23 and 24 were the correct size or would I need number 9...
