It drives a lot better now, but one problem still persists - the rear wheels (especially the drivers side) rub on the rear arch if you either corner very sharply at low speed or have any passengers in the back. The problem is worse now since I have fitted 325i springs in anticipation of an m20 conversion soon which is making the front end sit a bit higher than usual. It runs on standard bbs 15" wheels with the correct 205/55/15 tyres. The garage was at a loss to explain why other than the theory that it might have had a knock in the past, however I dont think it has. I can only just get my hand between the arch and tyre. Any ideas guys? I'd like to sort this out before the engine swap. I'll try and post some photo's tommorrow.Rear end rubbing

assuming the car sits level on all corners, and only rubs that one side I'd suggest the trailing arm is bent on the affected corner.

Thanks Ant, will check it out. I'm sure it rub's both sides occasionaly just worse on the drivers side
